Roddy and Ginger Pomegranate Design

300
We’ve mentioned a few Roddy and Ginger products in the past, so were pleased to see that they’ve produced a few new designs including this Pomegranate Tree Print.

Like the tapestry mentioned below, the design is very much in the Scandinavian folk art style. It has been hand screen-printed in teal, olive and grey. The print measures 40cm by 50cm. The same design is also available in cushion form, with a choice of grey/red, grey/teal or grey/ochre on either white or natural linen.

The print costs £35 and the cushions cost £26, all from the Roddy and Ginger website.

Scandi Scene Tapestry

Scandiscene
Just the name alone should be enough to tell you that the Scandi Scene Tapestry has been heavily influenced by vintage Scandinavian design.

The large woven cotton sheeting tapestry features a bright folkloric pattern with birds, tree and flowers. It can be put to variety of uses: hung on the wall; used as a chair covering or as throw for your bed. It measures 100 inches long by 84 inches wide and would fit a Queen-sized bed if that is how you want to use it.

It costs $39 from Urban Outfitters.

Lilly Wallpaper

  Lillywallpaper

The Lilly Wallpaper by Sandberg is a design that will have equal appeal to children and their design-conscious parents.

The wallpaper features an imaginative landscape of hills, trees and trains in a Scandinavian folk art style, designed by Lotta Kvist. It is available in pink/turquoise, brown/green or green/yellow. Sandberg use old-fashioned processes to make their wallpapers, runing their own wallpaper machines at slower speeds than other wallpaper manufacturers and hand-painting the edges of their wallpaper. The paper costs just under £79 per roll. There is also a fabric in the same pattern available, priced £51.61 per metre.

Painted Owl Wallpaper from Anthropologie

073305_095_b
Owl-inspred design ought to have become tired by now but there's something incredibly enduring about these birds and this Painted Owl Wallpaper from Anthroplogie is another gem.

The design alternates a diamond-pattern stripe with a repeat owl motif in both black and white and colour. The monochromatic background ensures that the coloured owls really pop; they have a kaleidoscopic quality in terms of both colour and pattern. The design is inspired by Russian Lubok printing; a popular folk art style.

The wallpaper costs £78 a roll which will cover 5m² and comes with SureStrip backing which means no messing around with wallpaper paste, simply wet the reverse and hang.
