Cemia Collection by Ligne Roset

Cemia_med
Ligne Roset’s Cemia collection is a whole range of storage furniture for the living room, dining room and bedroom.

The collection includes wardrobes, chests of drawers of various sizes, sideboards and TV cabinets, all of which have been created from two sections of curved multi-ply in walnut or matt white. The fronts and backs are available in white or black lacquer or with the walnut option a glossy taupe finish, which looks particularly midcentury.

As you would expect with Ligne Roset products, the Cemia range comes with a hefty price attached – a 2 drawer bedside unit costs £1,261 whilst the sideboard pictured here costs £3,374. Further details are available on the Ligne Roset West End website.

Barbara Hulanicki for Graham and Brown Paint

41bdfbfb-6167-4061-b4bc-91b61a5df5ba
Obsessive fans of Barbara Hulanicki’s work might be interested to know that as well as the wallpaper we’ve mentioned in the past, she has also created a range of paints for Graham and Brown.

As you would expect from the Biba founder, the Barbara Hulanicki Matt Emulsion colours tend towards the bold and dramatic with several shades of purple amongst the 24 options. Obviously once it is on your walls, the designer won’t be apparent, but the paint does come in a pot with Hulanicki’s signature design on the front.

It costs £23 per 2.5 litre pot from Graham and Brown.

eBay watch 4x 1960s Anvia table and wall lamps

Anvia

Not one quirky piece of 1960s lighting, you get four if you successfully bid on these Anvia table and wall lamps.

Full of early-to-mid 1960s charm, the metal lamps, two wall and two table/desk, were apparently originally sold as a set 'back in the day' and this set, amazingly, remains intact.

In fact, according to the seller, the lamps are in 'near perfect' condition, with no dents or rusting. See the listing for more detailed shots, with the price at just 1 pence now, although there's still plenty of time to go.

Newgate Vision Wall Clock

934064_m
Another great retro clock design from Newgate – the Vision Wall Clock.

This clock has been designed in a 1970s style and combines acrylic numbers with chrome spokes. It is available with the numbers and spokes in black and hands in red, or with reversed (as pictured). Apparently it has been seen in Hollyoaks (which may be a plus or a minus point depending on your opinion of the teen soap).

It costs £50 directly from Newgate.

Swifty 40th anniversary of Decimalisation limited edition prints

Swifty

The 15th February 1971 saw the United Kingdom's currency change from the centuries old tradition of shillings and sixpence, to the new decimal currency of one hundred pence to one pound. 40 years on and the event is celebrated by these 40th anniversary of Decimalisation limited edition prints by Swifty.

Most of the coins have survived in some way or other, with the exception of the 'half penny', which was withdrawn in 1984 and is paid tribute to in the series of prints.

Take your pick from four striking colours, original bronze, orange, peacock blue and magenta, all hand pulled silk screen prints, signed and numbered by the artist, sized at 50 x 50cm and in an edition of only 40 per colourway. The price is £40 – or 8,000 half pennies!

Trace Suspension Light

Tracelight
Although designed in 2008, the Trace Suspension Light by Andrea Garuti, could be easily be mistaken for a design from the last century.

Where is differs from many true vintage designs and their imitators, is that rather than being made from plastic, this is made from a combination of white ceramic and white lacquered metal.

It costs just over £1,200 from Modenza.
