Luxury eyewear designers Selima have teamed up with American fashion staple J. Crew to bring us a pair of ladies fashion specs that are dripping with retro style. The Barbara glasses in a pale powder blue have a real 1960s secretary style that manages to be both timeless and head-turning.

Made in France from Italian rhodoid, these are in limited numbers only at J. Crew online and in their shops. They come with clear plastic lenses, allowing you to swap them for your own prescription, or simply use them as a fashion statement if you’re not a usual specs wearer.

Paisley prints in women’s clothing are often reserved for the more casual, hippie inspired styles on the high street. If you’re looking for a more sleek, party friendly look with a paisley print, New Look have come up trumps.

Their current new range of dresses features a variety of paisley numbers, including this mini dress (left) which is my favourite. The barely tailored dress shape allows it to cope with the bold print, giving a modern take on a classic 60s shape. For the more demure look, this knee length gown can be casual or formal however you wear it.
