George Nelson Eye Clock

We’ve not featured a George Nelson clock for a few weeks now, so here is another one for you to look at – the Eye Clock.

Its hard to believe that this clock was designed fifty years ago, but it dates back to 1957. It has recently been reissued by Vitra and is one of Nelson’s more unusual designs. The use of the eye shape rather than more tradition round clock faces reminds me of the products designed by the Surrealists.

Several online shops are selling the Eye Clock, including Utility Design, and it is usually prices at just under £200.
