Noguchi Tea Cup Set

We recently featured the Prismatic Table, a design by Isamu Noguchi that has only recently been put into production. Similarly, the Noguchi Tea Cup Set was designed in 1952, but took 50 years before being available to buy.

Like Noguchi’s other work, the Tea Cup set blends western Modernism with the traditional Japanese tea ceremony and is in fact based on an old terracotta cup the designer owned.
