This is lovely and I’ve been looking out for one on eBay for ages, but I didn’t know they still made them, I thought they had been discontinued. Is it a reissue?

The information is not correct. Sylvia Stave was employed 1929 at C G Hallberg. I´m a collector of swedish design from 1927 to 1939 and I also look things up in the archives of design in Sweden. Collectors of Sylvia Stave think that her rational jugs and shakers came in production first in 1934. The fault of the information about this shaker is by the producer of it today – Alessi. They have not only missed the shakers original proportions and measurements, they have also made a pretty poor work on the original year of production of the shaker.
