1970s Pony by Eeero Aarnio
Over on Switched On Set, we've just featured the latest version of the Eero Aarnio Puppy. Which got me thinking that we've never featured the inspiration behind it - the Pony by Eeero Aarnio, designed back in 1973.
The Pony was (and still is) part toy and part child's seat, with a moulded foam body, feet and ears, all connected by a tube frame and upholstered with stretch fabric. And as well as being something for your kids to climb all over, it's a bona fide design classic you can show off to your family and friends.
Still in production today, you can pick up the Pony by Eeero Aarnio for a not inconsiderable £2,795.
