If Florida is on your holiday shortlist, you could do it with some added style by booking into this stylish house in Winter Haven.

Designed in 1954 by Gene Leedy (a member of the Sarasota School of Architecture), this is a great example of US mid-century architecture that's been restored to its former glory by the current owner, featuring in magazines and on TV – and now available to let.

The house is split into two wings (divided by the pool and hot tub) and packed with oversized glass doors to give a real sense of openness. In terms of specifics, there are three double bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large reception, an office/den, kitchen, dining room, laundry room and plenty of outdoor gardens, along with a double garage. And when you get bored of all that, take a strool or drive round the area – it's packed with other architectural gems of the 20th century.

Prices vary depending on the time of year, but start at £995 per week.
