I’m not suggesting that this is in the same league as an Eames desk or George Nelson’s Home Desk, but if your budget won’t stretch beyond the high street then Next’s Retro Desk could be worth a look.
The desk has slightly angled legs to give it a midcentury look and features two drawers and a shelf on top of the unit. Its finish as described as oak effect, so I think it is safe to assure that it isn’t made from solid wood, but then for £140 that might be expecting too much.
