Campbell's Soup limited edition Andy Warhol cans at Target

Some time back, Campbell's released vintage tins of soup back onto UK supermarket shelves. In the US, things have gone a step better with Campbell's Soup limited edition Andy Warhol cans at Target.

They are available from this weekend in the US, with 1.2 million pop art cans being sold for 75 cents, which is around 47 pence. The cans will be sold in the stores in four colour schemes, each one with details about the original Warhol artworks on the back, as well as the Warhol quote of: 'In the future everybody will be world famous for 15 minutes.' In the case of the artwork, it isn't 15 minutes, but 50 years, hence this limited edition.

Flavour seems to be tomato only (as you might expect) and demand is likely to be fairly huge. If you have any friends in the US, you might want to get them to invest on your behalf. Alternatively, there are already auctions already on eBay for sets.

No news on a UK launch of these, but as the vintage cans made an appearance, we wouldn't bet against it.
