eBay watch: 1960s Robert Welch-designed Lumitron table lamp
We featured a floor lamp some time back, now you can get a Robert Welch-designed Lumitron table lamp on eBay.
Very much cut from the same cloth, the table lamp is just a smaller version of the floor light, both of which were designed in 1966 and are becoming increasingly sought after today. The design mixes that distinctive plastic shade with a tulip-style alloy base, combining to produce a lamp that really couldn't be from any other era but the 1960s.
It stands 21 inches high and is said to be in 'good working order' and in 'good' condition. One missing 'stud' where shade meets base, but it apparently doesn't affect set up of the light. If you want it, the light is currently at £175.
