1950s The Mermaid by Hans Bolling reissued by Architect Made
We are big fans of the midcentury objects and designs of Hans Bolling, having featured the likes of Oscar the Dog and his wooden ducks in the past. Now there's a new reissue on the block - The Mermaid.
It dates back to 1954 and is reissued as part of the Architect Made series, with a design said to be inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid fairy tale, but with a finish very much a Bolling original. It also has moving arms and a tail for added novelty value.
Each one is handmade in oak and maplewood, sized around 16.5cm tall and 13.5cm long. If you want one, The Mermaid sells for £129.
