1930s George Carwardine-designed Anglepoise Duo table lamp

For some authentic 1930s style, you can't go far wrong with the Anglepoise Duo table lamp.

Actually, that should be a plural, as there are three finishes to choose from, with the red and chrome versions above being our favourites. The design is much the same on all, that design being the work of George Carwardine. Specifically, we're talking a hand-spun aluminium shade, a heavy base and braided cable.

Prices vary depending on the finish you go for, but are between £85 and £110.
