Handmade record display units by Kai Takeshima

If you want something with a touch of the ‘midcentury’ for holding your vinyl, then look no further than these wonderful handmade record display units by Kai Takeshima.

They look good even without the addition of vinyl. But stick in the discs and they really are something special.

The unit is constructed from oiled walnut wood and brass, with pockets holding up to 290 albums at a time. The shelves are slightly tilted so the records do not ‘flop’ forward and with an open frame at the bottom, the unit itself ism’t too heavy.

It’s one of he best looking display units for records we have seen for some time and we suspect it comes at a price. It isn’t yet in the shop section of the maker’s website, so if you want one sooner rather than later, you probably need to drop him a line via that site.

As an alternative, these vinyl storage units are available to buy on Etsy.
