There’s still plenty of old vinyl out there, much of it not particularly collectable, so why not recycle it into something useful? That’s what Art Meets Matter have done with these retro Cover Version lampshades.

Available in two sizes (from 7-inch and 12-inch sleeves), each sleeve is sandwiched between two pieces of recyclable polypropylene sheet, which is then slotted onto a wire frame for use. The 7-inch shade is ideal for table standing lights and the 12-inch version can be used on table or floor standing lights or as a pendant lampshade for a ceiling light.

Oh yes – and each shade is sent out with the matching vinyl record, so make sure you pick a tune you like. I can highly recommend Orange Juice’s Felicity (pictured) for both sight and sound).

Prices start at around £15.
