It was designed back in 1934 by George Carwardine and reissued in coloured versions back in January this year. Now, to celebrate the iconic lamp's 75th birthday, the Anglepoise 1227 lamp has been reissued in chrome.

It's the perfect match, a modernist gem gets a distinctly period finish in chrome. Aside form that, this is business as usual, with that chrome cladding covering the aluminium frame and cast iron base, with the lamp able to position itself just perfectly for your reading and writing.

£180 is the price, something of a hike compared to the £110 being asked for the standard versions.
