Klint

We have featured the Le Klint 1970s 172 pendant light some time back, but now this stylish 70s pendant light has a cut-price competitor – the B&Q Rosa light.

The original 172 light (pictured left) was designed by Poul Christiansen back in 1971 and available in various sizes to fit the size of your room. All are hand-folded in Denmark from a single flat sheet of plastic and come ready-assembled in the box, along with a white flex, rise cover and an ES lampholder. Prices start at £146 but go into four figures for the huge versions.

The B&Q Rosa offers the same look for less of an outlay. We don't expect it to hand-folded anywhere, but this white moulded shade will slip onto your existing white cord for the same 70s space age style, but for just £19.98. Before you rush out though, a word of caution – it isn't expected instore until September.
