If the price of a decent Dansette has got a little much for you (and we really wouldn't be surprised if that was the case), you should check out one of the other vintage options up for auction – this like this 1960s Marconiphone portable record player.
You'll have to be quick on this one, as it ends in around 12 hours, but right now, there's just one bid on it, so definitely a potential bargain. According to the seller, he bought it two years ago from a specialist who had overhauled and serviced it – and it has hardly been used since.
With that in mind, it is in 'perfect working order' with 'a lovely sound'. The cabinet is also in 'great condition' with just a few tiny scuffs to the red covering which doesn't detract from the overall appearance.
The price right now is £40. Like we said, potential bargain, but you'll have to be quick.
