These Grand Bretagne Plates from RE-foundobjects are an interesting take on the current trend for vintage maps.
Their design is inspired by an old map of the British Isles – an old French map for added chic. The map has been transferred onto six bone china plates section by section, so that each plate features a different area of the country. Individually, they're great pieces but together they have a much more dramatic impact – that's if you can get past the huge holes of the west of England, Wales and Scotland that are created! You can also buy mugs or cushions featuring sections of the map.
