The Hemmesphere Birch Pendant Shade is part of a lighting range by Massow designs that use sculpted wood against a bare light bult to beautiful effect.
The design is inspired by the longitude and latitude lines on a globe. The style is apparently inspired by traditional Japanese design, but the simplicity and use of birch could equally be taken as Scandinavian influenced and certainly has a retro look to it. The shade comes preassembled (always a relief) and with a 2m cable.
