How does the idea of a pretty much untouched midcentury gem for a bargain price grab you? That's what you get with this 1950s Jules Gregory-designed The Butterfly House in Delaware Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, USA .

The house was built in 1955 and to be honest, looks like no one has been near it since. I'm guessing that's not the case, but looking at the exterior, the inside period fittings and the condition, that's the impression we're getting. It could be the perfect canvas for the dream midcentury home.

According to the agent, the house offers three bedrooms, a dining room, kitchen space, a bathroom and a living room, along with an unfinished basement area. There's also a garage, a large driveway and we would guess, plenty of land outside. It seems to be sat in plenty of open space.

All of that for $299,000, which works out at £184,000 in UK money. Amazing. You can see more images at the WowHaus website or see the listing at Estately website.
