In design terms, I think it would be pushing it to describe something from 1997 as retro yet, but the Sunset Chair by Christophe Pillet looks like something from an earlier period.
The sunset chair has an upholstered swivel seat on a stainless steel base. Although designed much later, it could easily be mistaken for a classic, such as something by Pierre Paulin or Arne Jacobsen. The chair can be upholstered in a range of fabrics or leather, but I think the choice shown above is pretty much perfect given the name of the chair. Prices start at £2,155, but vary depending on upholstery choice.
