It hasn't been around for some years, so it's nice to see the 1950s Arne Jacobsen-designed Drop Chair reissued by Fritz Hansen.

In fact, it hasn't been around for over 50 years, with the original design created for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1958 alongside more well known designs such as the Swan and Egg chairs. Unlike those, the Drop never went into commercial production, so this is the first time on the retail shelves.

As for the chair itself, that's a choice of upholstered foam or moulded plastic in a range of colours, finished off with chrome or powder coated legs. It's priced from £250.
