Statement retro lighting? Look no further than this CVL Flea brass ceiling light.

From the company that brought us the wonderful Saturn light, this equally stylish design is straight out of a 1950s midcentury home. Well, not literally, but we have seem a lot of lighting like this in untouched midcentury houses in the US.

The light is handmade in France and offers three pendants dropping from the ceiling plate, with solid brass ‘trumpets’ holding the patterned glass, which in turn offers up its own distinctive lighting effect.

Those drops can adjust, so should be good for most rooms with a decent ceiling height, although you would imagine the higher the ceiling, the better.

As for price, well it doesn’t come cheap as you might have guessed, retailing for £950.
