This is such a cool idea. But the EverBlock is a rather practical idea too.

No, this isn’t suppressed Lego, but it certainly has the look of that. These are modular blocks for the home, far bigger than any Lego brick and available in 16 colours and 10 sizes (including shelf pieces), which means flexibility is a key selling point here.

So get busy and create your own divider walls, working spaces, custom furniture, bookshelves, even a cocktail bar (as you can see from the photo below). You are only limited by your own imagination and perhaps your budget.

Each block is made from fully recyclable polypropylene and right now sells for $7.25 if you want a 12-inch x 6-inch x 6-inch block. That obviously means bigger constructions will soon add up in terms of cost and that you might have an issue with shipping right now if you are outside the US.

However, note that the company is working on a ‘world-wide network of agents, renters and distributors’, which might help with the latter over the coming months. Design and installation services are also available via the maker too and of course, the blocks can be reused.
