Limited numbers of course, so make sure you are quick on this Pro-Ject Charlie Brown-themed Peanuts T1 BT turntable.
It seems like an odd combination, but this is a mix that has been pursued in the past. I still regret not buying the Peanuts x Crosley Cruiser record player, which was off the scale for cuteness.
This design goes down a more audiophile route compared to that one, although there’s still a strong element of ‘cute’ here, as you would expect of any Peanuts design. This one, by the way, celebrates the comic strip’s 75th anniversary amazingly.
The design is based on the Pro-Ject T1 BT, a highly-regarded Bluetooth turntable. You might notice the heavy glass platter, a precision CNC-machined chassis and Pro-Ject’s standard one-piece aluminium tonearm. It also has an Ortofon OM 10 cartridge, a built-in phono stage and that previously-mentioned Bluetooth for playing to a wireless speaker or headphones.
Which is nice, but you are probably going for this particular model because of its eye-catching design. Right down to the acrylic record plate in the form of Charlie Brown’s head. But the illustrations elsewhere are every bit as appealing.
Possibly less appealing is the price. High-end audio kit never comes cheap, and this deck is no exception. Although it’s certainly competitive compared to similar decks. It will be offered in limited numbers from June onwards with a price of around £579.
