For Shag fans, Christmas has come early, just as long as you happen to be near the Disneyland in California, which is selling the 40th anniversary Haunted Mansion art and merchandise range.

The original paintings, limited edition prints, and special limited edition apparel and merchandise has all been designed by Shag over a two-year period and will go on sale to the general public on Sunday, August 9th, 2009 at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Quantities are limited, and will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis. Which leaves little chance for the rest of us.

In the meantime, Disney has helpfully photographed and priced everything from the sale, including the original painting above (yours for $16,000), some more affordable prints (from around $275) and some bizarre merchandise, including glassware and a limited edition Shag-inspired Mickey ear hat, a snip at $40. Kerry Lemon's Chair print shows an oh-too-common situation for chair aficionados. The illustration is based around an afternoon she spent lusting after chairs in Heals. It shows the various designs she's rejected and the eventual focus of her desire, the chair with the distinct Orla Kiely pattern shown in the top left. 

It's a limited edition print, that's been hand drawn and digitally coloured and still retains the charm of the original hand. Each print costs $158, you'll just need a beautiful house to put it in. 

Petra Boase trained as a fabric designer which shows in her products which feature images of collages made from vintage fabric. This includes an extensive selection of prints and canvases.

The artwork design include cute fabric animals and retro flower patterns, which are available in a choice of formats. There are canvases (measuring 27cm by 19cm) and prints (30cm by 40cm), both priced £40 and large canvas (50cm by 71cm) for £115.

The design duo, Uncommon, describe their style as a mixture of modern clean lines and old-fashioned sensibility. Their home accents range includes a small selection of engraved illustrations which tend towards a retro style and this Mix Tape Engrave Illustration particularly caught my attention.

It is a framed engraved panel made from fibreboard, measuring 10 inches by 15 inches. There is a delightful little background story to the illustration given in the description, about finding it behind a wall in their home, which just adds to the character of the piece. The Mix Top Illustration is available in a choice of ash grey or antique blue, both costing $25 (around £15). International shipping is available.
