Blue Ant Studio’s Classic Chair Eye Examination print

Eye_exam
Following on from its Alphabet of Modern Classics Poster, Blue Ant Studio has produced another retro gem – the Classic Chair Eye Examination print.

Using similar mid-century reference points, the print features a host of classic seating, appearing ever small (like a eye chart). It is printed on 1200dpi paper in a matte finish, then glued to very heavy stock black cardboard (which means it is ready to be framed).

Each one is hand signed and dated, priced at $35 shipped in the US and Canada or $50 to anywhere else in the world.

Bob Dylan by Barry Feinstein exhibition at the Snap Galleries

Dylanex

Birmingham’s Snap Galleries is to host the first UK exhibition of Bob Dylan photographs by legendary US photographer Barry Feinstein, taken during May 1966 on the British leg of his world tour.

Barry Feinstein was the official photographer on that ’66 tour, capturing some iconic images, including the famous portrait of Dylan surrounded by street kids in a Liverpool doorway and Dylan waiting at the Aust Ferry terminal, during his trip from Bristol to Cardiff – which appeared on the cover of Martin Scorcese’s No Direction Home.

The exhibition coincides with the publication by Omnibus Press of Barry Feinstein’s new 160 page hardcover book of Dylan photographs, ‘Real Moments’ – which is sure to be available for the duration of the exhibition, which runs from 3rd May to 28th June 2008.

V&A’s Switch off that light! t-shirt

Switch
The V&A continues to re-produce some of its more obscure vintage artwork as limited edition clothing, the latest being this Switch off that light! t-shirt.

Originally from an early to mid 20th century public information poster, it’s a message that still carries some weight in these eco-friendly days (not to mention with energy bills sky high).

A run of just 150, each printed onto a slim-fitting 100 per cent cotton shirt in a choice of size, you can pick one up for £25.
