Concentric Circles Mirror

Designer_mirror_circles

This Concentric Circles Mirror is a subtle piece and whilst probably not the most exciting product we’ll feature this week, it could certainly be a useful accessory for completing a retro look.

While its design might be subtle, its size is anything but, measuring a whopping 96.5cm in diameter. The website selling it recommends pairing it with Le Corbusier furniture and I certainly wouldn’t disagree.

It costs £279 from Iconic Interiors.

Letsby Avenue by Lost and Found

Letsbyavenuecushion

The Letsby Avenue design by Lost and Found features a nostalgic British street scene, with a policeman, union jack bunting and a street sign bearing the punning name hung on metal railings.

For those interested in such things, there is apparently a real street called Letsby Avenue in Sheffield, but this design suggests a London of days gone by. The design is available as either a cushion or a tea towel, both made from 100% cotton.

The cushion costs just under £50 and the tea towel £12 from Rockett St George.

Retro Film Camera T-Shirt

Cameratshirt

The website Zazzle allows designers to upload their creations which can then be printed onto t-shirts, mugs, bags and other items. Amongst the thousands of t-shirt designs, I spotted this Retro Film Camera T-shirt.

The tee features an image of a vintage camera on the front, but where Zazzle comes into its own is that you can then choose the type of t-shirt you want. So you can pick from eleven colours of American Apparel t-shirt for men from £21.75 or go for a cheaper t-shirt with options starting at £12.35. Ladies can have the design printed onto fitted Baby Doll tops from £16.85.

Visit Zazzle to view all of the options.

Question Mark Chair

Copy of 046amb4_1

The Question Mark Chair, with its unusual shape and descriptive name, could easily be mistaken for a classic design by the likes of Jacobsen, Aarnio or Paulin, but it is a new design by Stefan Heiliger.

The chair has already won a plethora of awards so could easily become a design classic of the future, but for now, I think it would make a good addition to any retro dining room. The seat swivels 360 degrees and is available in a huge choice of coloured leathers, although the smart choice would always be the white option.

The Question Mark Chair is available to buy form Mac and Mac Interiors priced £1,580.

Flower Trivet

5026027

The stand for resting a plate or pan on to protect your surfaces from heat is called a trivet. Usually a practical, but dull item, it has made more interesting by Sagaform in the creation of the 2-Piece Flower Trivet.

The trivet consists of two parts, a 20cm circle with a daisy pattern piece that pulls out to gave you two trivets in one. The flower-power design is given a further retro dimension as it made from sold Walnut.

The trivet costs £8.50 from the Soulful Toaster.

Calligaris Bubble Mirror

Bubbles5029_425c

You may have noticed the mirror hanging above the Domino Sideboard we featured yesterday. This is another great item from Calligaris, the Bubbles Mirror.

The mirror is made up of 8 mirrored circles in various sizes, with the space between made from either glossy white or black lacquer, ebony or my somewhat predictable favourite, the wenge.

The Bubbles Mirror is available to buy from One Deko for £216.50.
