Envirosax – reusable retro bags

Envirosax

In terms of the environment, using masses of plastic bags from the supermarket isn’t a particularly good thing to do. Far better to use something reusable. And if that’s stylish too, all the better. Enter Envirosax.

Envirosax are eco-friendly reusable shopping bags. Each one rolls up to become a lightweight and portable 40g package – small enough to sit in the glove compartment of the car. Even better, they’re both waterproof and durable and come in some smart retro designs, including the Flora Butterflies and Monochromatic Vintage pictured above.

Available online, you can pick one up for £4.95.

Spring Court G2 Retro Low Canvas trainers

Springcourt_g2
We have featured the Spring Court Lo Cut previously (the shoes Lennon wears on the Abbey Road sleeve if you recall), but we really like these Spring Court G2 Retro Low Canvas trainers, which are a variation on the theme.

The selling point here is the strong red contrast, both inside and on the piping/seam. Of course, you still get the Spring Court gum sole and vulcanised rubber outsole.

Great for summer casual wear and well priced at around £45.

Andy Warhol print messenger bags

Warhol_bags

I can’t find these on the UK version of the Urban Outfitters site, but you can pick up these Andy Warhol print messenger bags from the company’s US online store.

Both are printed with Warhol graphics, with a choice of the skull or the pistol. They also feature large pockets on the front and back, pockets under the velcro flap and a zip pocket inside. There’s also an adjustable strap.

If you want one, you can pick one up for $48 (around £25).

House of Fraser do skinhead

Debenham_skin

Interesting promotional images of House of Fraser’s latest spring/summer 2007 range, whjch are described as "casual biker", but look suspiciously like skinhead gear.

I’m not sure if House of Fraser are capitalising on the media attention from the This Is England movie or they just think this is a look for 2007. Either way, you can buy your very own casual skinhead look off the peg on the high street if that’s your thing.

Personally, I think I’ll give it a miss. But if you fancy it, the shirts retail for between £50 and £75, with the jeans at around £110.
