You may remember Sukie from the Chamonix cushion we featured some time back. But as well as their own designs, they’ve also done a few for other retailers – including this Gyms Pacific laptop sleeve.
This Motel design is just one of a series available, all designed by Darrell Gibbs of Sukie UK. The back of the sleeve is in all black neoprene while the printed side is on white neoprene, with a capacity that should fit a 14-inch to 15.4-inch laptop or portable Mac and padding to protect your machine.
There’s plenty of hype around Puma’s retro Puma French 77 range – a range of clothing and accessories inspired by 1977 and in particular, 70s tennis legend Guillermo Vilas. But browsing the selection, much of it just looks like any old sportswear range around right now. But there are a few nice items lurking there – including this Puma French 77 Grip Bag.
In Lacoste green (though they would never admit to that), it’s got a two-way zip opening into the main compartment, a moisture-resistant lining, grip handles, metal studs on the bottom and Puma "Heritage" zip pulls.
Baracuta have some limited edition 70th Anniversary G9 Harrington jackets available – each with a connection to an icon famously pictured wearing one.
Those icons are Steve McQueen, Frank Sinatra and the one picture here – Elvis Presley. Each jacket contains a quote of said person printed onto the tartan of the jacket and each is incredibly limited – just 70 of each available worldwide.
Sold in a presentation box and surely a collectable of the future, you can pick one up online for £145.
Remember the big slogan t-shirts? Things like "Frankie says…" and "Choose Life"? well, the majority were Katherine Hamnett creations dating back to the early 1980s – and she’s reissued a number of them, but with a slight difference.
That difference certainly isn’t the design, which still features a range of mainly political statements, including this Clean Up Or Die shirt from 1989. The difference is the t-shirt itself – slim-fitting, compared to the original rent-a-tent, made from organic cotton and ethically-made in India.
Another bag plundered from a company archive, this time the Adidas Airline Vintage bag.
It’s based on an original from the late 70s in a brown colour scheme, with an adjustable shoulder strap, a padded area for your vulnerable items and various pockets for the rest.
