Pele’s New York Cosmos shirt at Christies

Pele_cosmos
There’s a Football Memorabilia auction coming up at Christies, packed full of classic football shirts, but none more cool than Pele’s New York Cosmos shirt, signed by the man himself.

It’s an authentic item – worn by Pele and gained by Paolo Ammoniaci as a swap after the 1977 Cosmos v Lazio challenge match. The white and green short-sleeved shirt features a printed Cosmos badge, with the name "Pele" and the number 10 on the reverse.

But you’ll need plenty of spare cash to bid for it – the estimate is between £700 and £1,000. If you’ve got that money to spare, surely a worthy investment. The auction takes place on 3rd April 2007 at the London South Kensington auction rooms.

An arcade Asteroids machine for your home

Arcade_asteroids
Ever wonder what happened to all those vintage arcade machines you remember from your childhood? Well, I imagine most were scrapped for newer games, but some were saved and maintained – and now got for a hefty price. Rather like this Atari Asteroids arcade machine.

It’s just as you remember it, with the boldly-coloured casing, 19-inch screen and three-button control, with the option of a one or two player game. Granted you can play a version of Asteroids on just about every console and home PC ever made, but you can’t re-create that original arcade feel without the arcade machine.

But it comes at a price – £2895. Or if you fancy another arcade classic, there’s a range of other machines available, including Space Invaders, Galaxians and Pacman.

Retrodelic doctor-style handbag

Retrodelic_docbag
We recently featured Retrodelics’s Gym Bag, but as the company has so many great bags, we thought we would pick out another – this time for the women the Retrodelic doctor-style handbag.

As the name suggests, it’s very much in the style of an old-fashioned doctor’s bag and in a choice of colours, including this fire engine red leather. It uses a single large zipped compartment with brightly-coloured lining and silver-plated metallic fittings.

Limited edition and sized at 15 x 10  x 6 inches, you can pick it up for $240 (around £120).
