Ben Sherman Paul Weller range shirts

Weller_shirts
They’ve been rumoured for some time, but finally, the Paul Weller-designed Ben Sherman shirt range is in the shops.

Going under the name Candy by Paul Weller, it’s a limited edition range (no mention of specific numbers) for spring/summer 2007. Two styles so far – pink and brown or light and dark blue “Candy” stripes, with a “superior” finish and 100% cotton composition. An additional design is expected soon.

Like the Paul Weller-design Fred Perry polo shirts, I’m sure everyone will have their opinions on these. If your opinion is positive, you can pick one up for £47.

60s-style cube shelves

60s_shelves
Billed as 60s-style cube shelves, these display/storage units have more of a 70s look about them to me, but they’re still a smart addition to your home.

They’re nesting cubes, so you can store them within each other. But once out, you can arrange these white wooden shelves in a number of ways for displaying and organising books, photographs, books, CDs or ornaments.

Sizes range from 42.5cm to 28cm width, with the four cube set retailing for £69.95 online.

Tokyo Bay Red Tango retro clocks

Tokyo_clocks

Earlier this week we featured the Tokyo Bay Neptune watch. Well, they also do some other stylish items, including these Tokyo Bay Red Tango retro clocks.

Using a clock shape common to the 50s and 60s, they’ve added some bold colours and some great cat designs, very Shag in inspiration. All are battery-powered, available in a choice of colour and come gift-boxed.

Prices start at $21 (around £11).

Hector retro table lamp

Hector_lamp
If you’re going to design a lamp with a retro feel, it’s best to use the parts from that era – as is the case with this Hector retro table lamp.

Designed by Peter Bowles, it features a bone china shade, ceramic base and an old-fashioned cotton-braided flex, with a 40w bulb needed for the light. And if you’ve got the money, you can pick up the full set of the medium-sized table lamp (pictured here), a standard lamp, wall light and a matching pendant lamp.

Prices vary, but this medium lamp will cost you £95.

Abbey Road wallpaper

Abbey_paper
If you’re looking for some quirky wallpaper, it doesn’t get much quirkier than this Abbey Road wallpaper.

The design by Tony Davis is based on the graffiti wall outside the famous Abbey Road Studios in London. It gets painted over every now and again, so there’s no guarantee that this is an exact replica of what’s there right now – but it is based on genuine graffiti at some point.

Three colour schemes are available, with rolls sized at 10.05m x 0.52m. Each one retails at £29.99.

7-inch single iPod cases – made from your own 45 record

Record_ipod_1
A while back, we featured the 7-inch single iPod cases – as the name suggests, these were iPod cases made from old 7-inch records. There was a drawback though – the choice of records was a bit poor. But now things are different – you can use your own records.

Granted you’re not likely to send in that rare soul 45 that cost you £200, but if you see a scratched copy of something cool on eBay for a couple of quid, you can convert it to an iPod case.

As we said previously, the records are custom-fitted to an iPod, with the centre hold used around the click wheel. The cases retail for $45, with a custom case from your own record costing $7 more – plus the cost if your record.
