Vintage belt camera bag

Camerabag
Very smart and very eco-friendly – this camera bag from ecocentric is handmade from vintage leather belts.

Not a million miles away from an old Super 8 camera case, this bag is made from good quality leather belts that should age and improve in appearance the longer you own it. The strap is adjustable to wear over the shoulder or across the body, while the inside of the bag is lined with moleskin, except for the pocket, which is lined with vintage silk tie fabric.

Note that all are unique, so your bag might differ slightly from the picture. It retails for £239.

Muji’s retro Round Pouch bags

Muji_bag
When you think retro fashion, you don’t instantly think of Muji. But amazingly, the store currently stocks these incredibly retro-styled Velour Round Pouch bags.

Looking like something you’d have found on the shelf of a 60s boutique, the bag is made from a velvet velour and available in two sizes (small and medium) and two colours (black and brown). But the big selling point is that shape – a real eye-catcher.

Available now for £12 and £17 respectively.

Lacoste retro sports bag range

Lacoste_bag
Looking for a cool retro sports bag? You need to pop into your local Lacoste store – they’re packed out with them, with this Lacoste retro shoulder bag being just one example.

The bags come in all sizes, from toiletry bags through to mini suitacases. all available in blue, white, black and this Lacoste green, all made from a a thick PVC. My personal favourite is this shoulder bag, very much in the style of a vintage flight bag, with adjustable strap, large zipped central area and smaller zipped outer pocket.

Prices obviously vary according to your choice, check with the store for specific prices and check the website for the full range.

Berluti Deux Jours bag

Berluti_1
If you buy into the "man bag" thing, you might as well make it as classy as possible. And for my money, you’ll not get anything with more style than the Berluti Deux Jours bag.

Made from a soft quality leather, it’s sized at 16.5 x 12 x 5.7 inches (so enough room for most laptops) and with two compartments and a zipped outside pocket, there’s plenty of room to pack in just about everything else you might need about town.

Available in two shades of leather, it’s available online for $1,900 (that’s around £1,000).
