Wham Baam duffle bag

Duffle bag2

How could we resist a product with a name like the Wham Baam duffle bag? This bag from Urban Outfitters is clearly inspired by Roy Lichtenstein style Pop Art in both its choice of name and with its graphic print. However, the peach or yellow colours on offer give it an oh-so-fashionable eighties look. The wipe clean finish maintains the fantastic plastic feel.

It's quite large at 45cm wide by 30.5cm high, so it will certainly make an impression. It's currently on sale too, reduced from £48 to £34.99.

Megan Price Sweet Sundae canvas bag

Sweet sundae bag

The eco drive to rid our high street of plastic bags is resulting in some very attractive canvas designs being produced. This number comes courtesy of Megan Price and is called the Sweet Sundae bag. The bag illustrates an ice cream sundae on the front and some old fashioned sweet shop signs on the back. There is also a Saturday version which shows a menu for a full English breakfast, as well as a cup of tea. Her prints are very traditionally British in their inspiration, including cafe signs, cake and bingo.

These bags are hand printed, are made out of substantial cotton and measure 35 x 38 cm, making them perfect for bringing lots of dolly mixtures and jelly babies back from the shops. They cost £16 each. Her designs are also available on mugs and tea towels, all on display on the Mr PS website.

Comic Mighty Wallet

DYNO_003_lg1

Perhaps not the most sophisticated-looking wallet, but the Comic Mighty Wallet is a fun item for comic fans.

As well as the kitsch comic strip images the wallet’s other interesting feature is that it is virtually indestructible. It is made from something called Tyverk which is super strong and the wallet expands as it is filled without breaking.

It costs $14.99 (around £10) which is a good price for something that could last a lifetime. Visit Elsewares to buy.
