Retrodelic doctor-style handbag

Retrodelic_docbag
We recently featured Retrodelics’s Gym Bag, but as the company has so many great bags, we thought we would pick out another – this time for the women the Retrodelic doctor-style handbag.

As the name suggests, it’s very much in the style of an old-fashioned doctor’s bag and in a choice of colours, including this fire engine red leather. It uses a single large zipped compartment with brightly-coloured lining and silver-plated metallic fittings.

Limited edition and sized at 15 x 10  x 6 inches, you can pick it up for $240 (around £120).

Dorothy Perkins 70s-style luggage

Dorothy_luggage_2
Looking like the wallpaper you might see in an old family photograph is this Dorothy Perkins Retro Print luggage.

There’s a definite 70s feel here – an extreme version of a wild 70s wallcovering. Two items in the range, the larger luggage pictured here, as well as a holdall that should be useful as a cool weekend bag.

Both are 100% cotton and machine washable, with the luggage retailing for £30 and the holdall for £25.

British Airways retro travel bag

Ba_bag
Yesterday we featured the Sindy dolls in vintage BA uniforms. And whilst browsing for those, we featured another retro gem on the BA site – this British Airways retro travel bag.

Yes, there are cheap copies for sale out and about, but this is the official reissue – and exclusive to BA. It’s an exact replica of the original design, with a metal zipper and the traditional British Airways 70s branding, along with adjustable strap and protective studs on the base.

It retails for £20 plus postage and packing.

Retrodelic Gym Bag

Retrodelic_gymbag
No, Retrodelic isn’t some kind of Austin Power-like description – it’s the name of the company. And amongst their stock is this rather stylish Retrodelic Gym Bag.

Not unlike a bowling bag, it’s available in four colours, each with a contrasting handle and logo. The bag has a wide zip opening for your kit, plus additional zipped pockets on the outside and base (a bit like the 80s Adidas holdalls), a contrast lining and glossy finish.

You can pick one up online, priced at $59 (around £30).

Marks & Spencer Per Una retro floral print bag

Per_una_bag
If you can’t afford a new outfit, a new handbag can be just the thing to add that extra je ne sais quoi to an older wardrobe favourite. This Marks & Spencer Per Una retro floral print bag caught our eye, as just the thing to help give you a fresh spring look.

Reminiscent of some of the bags by Orla Kiely, the floral pattern on this bag combined with the bowling bag shape gives it a great retro feel.

It has double handles, so is ideal for carrying all your stuff around. In blue tones it would go with most things, and would look particularly good with a casual weekend look.

For only £23 it seems like a good buy.

Lacoste Sport Retro luggage

Lacoste_retro
There’s something really timeless about certain Lacoste products due to the consistency of the branding and styling. And this season, just in time for the holidays, they have some really cool luggage available under the Sport Retro banner.

Pictured is the Sport Retro dufle bag. Available in five colours (which includes this Lacoste green), it’s a hefty holdall with plenty of pockets plus wheels and handle extension if your luggage gets a little heavy. if that’s not big enough, they also do nylon suitcases in the same colour scheme, along with a range of smaller travel bags.

Judging by recent visits to Lacoste, you might have to ring around to find a store that stocks the full range (it varies considerably). Pricing to be confirmed.
