Bonjour collage
What's black and white and re(a)d all over? One possible answer is this collage cushion from Bonjour Mon Coussin. 

The cushion is decorated with newsprint, advertising and images of consumer goods dating from the late '50s and early '60s. Being a French company, the text is all in French – surely only adding to the glamour. We've featured some of Bonjour Mon Coussin's designs before which tend to have more attitude than the usual cushion. This design is no exception as the colour scheme of black, white and – yes – red adds to the striking look.

UNA Space-Saving Coffee Table Set

Following the Full Moon Coffee Table set mentioned last week, here is another space-saving furniture set, but with a very different look.

The UNA set, designed by Zita Menyhart, has that great space-age futuristic retro look, rather than the mid-century style that these sets usually adopt. It looks as if it is made from some sort of moulded plastic and conists of a coffee table and two stools. The base of the table acting as either storage space for magazines or can be used with the additional ice bucket to keep drinks cool. It is available in five colours, although the pure white is best for the space age look.

Newgate Underground Station clock

Underground station clock
Newgate are well-known for their vintage-inspired clocks. There's no prize for guessing where the idea for their new Underground Station clock comes from.

Increasingly a rarer sight in stations, this clock replicates some of the old tube platform clocks. It's got bold black hands and markers, with red 24-hour numerals around the clock face and even reads 'Tube Station clock' along its bottom rim. It's been artfully distressed to give it a vintage look too. 

No need to search one out in salvage yards, this one comes ready made and aged for £55.

Vitra’s George Nelson Natural Sunburst Clock now available in oak

Sunburst

It's a midcentury classic – and now the George Nelson Natural Sunburst Clock has been reissued by Vitra in oak.

It's a shape that screams the midcentury era, this particular example being produced as far back as 1949, but more commonly associated with the 1950s. This reissue is true to the original, with those shooting arms and white contrast face. Only this time, those arms are in oak to keep things lighter.

Sized around 470mm, you can pick one up for £208.

We've featured so many new Orla Kiely designs recently, you could probably fill your house with them. Another easy way to introduce her style into your home is with her new wallpaper prints, now available online. 

Pictured here is the wonderfully retro-styled Rhododendron wallpaper (you may remember that we featured this on bed linen a little while back). Worth a look is the brown and cream acorn wallpaper which is also being sold on the website alongside other other classic Kiely designs.
