A simple, but eye-catching design range from Jane Foster – Spring Chicken.
These retro-styled pieces are inspired by midcentury Scandinavian designs, offered as a screenprint (pictured over the page), a 'Spring' cushion (above) or a tote bag that should turn heads in the local supermarket.
Not expensive either, with the bag selling for £8, the art for £35 and the cushion for £20.
This tea set, designed by Sylvie Coquet for Couture lab, offers an extremely luxurious way to serve a cuppa – with added Art Deco style too.
The hand-made set includes four cups and saucers and a serving pot. A metallic glaze has been used on the pot and the saucers and those elegant handles are gold plated.
It looks pretty expensive and it is expensive too: the set costs £593. Perhaps not one for everyday use then…
The classic looks of a mid-century chair seems to inspire a steady stream of artists. This modern furniture series by Eric Rewitzer is perfect for seating lovers who may have spent the majority of their money on an Egg chair, as the prints cost just $25 each.
There are ten lino prints in total, each measuring 6 x 8 inches. As well as including Finn Juhl's Chieftain chair and Nelson's Marshmallow sofa, as shown in the images, there's also the Egg chair and all the regular Eames, Saarinen and van der Rohe numbers you'd expect in a series like this. Each design has been produced in a limited edition of 100.
As well as the reasonable individual price, you can get all ten prints for $200: a mere fraction of the price you'd pay for the real thing.
Though we've featured hundreds of trainers and items of clothing that draw on the rich heritage of tennis, it's hard to think of its influence on home wares. Well, all that could change with this Tennis wallpaper from Turner Pocock Cazalet.
The wallpaper uses a repeat design of tennis bats and balls in the classic colours of white and green, of course featuring the yellow balls too. There's a close-up of the pattern over the page. Although it's a very unusual design, it recalls novelty patterns of the 1920s and 30s.
If you like the idea but not the game featured, they've also created a wallpaper featuring that other classic British sport – cricket.
Also available in more neutral vintage colour way, a roll costs £70.50.
Another gem of a design from Arne Jacobsen for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen – the Fritz Hansen 3300 easy chair.
Dating back to 1956 and still deserving of the label 'timeless', the 3300 easy chair offers up that slimline chromed base, supporting seating that's both formal and above all, comfortable. Leather finish naturally – although you can get it with a fabric cover if you prefer.
That fabroc option is certainly the cheaper, with prices starting at £2,402, rising to a minimum of £3,427 for the leather.
We've featured many, many variations on the classic Sputnik light before but I think this is the first time we've shown it in a table version. Yes, opposed to the usual floor or ceiling versions, this Sputnik table lamp is designed to sit on a table or sideboard, measuring just 45cm high.
Other than that, the design is pretty faithful to other versions of the light, requiring 18 bulbs for each of its arm – thankfully these are included.
If you'd like to introduce this space oddity into your home, it costs £132.
