Kay+Stemmer Shaper mid-century coffee table

Mark_shaper

We're big fans of the mid-century inspired pieces from modern day design team Kay+Stemmer, not least this Shaper coffee table, designed for Mark of Cornwall.

Loving the curves (inspired by the surfboard apparently), with supporting legs in either European oak or black American walnut, creating a very stylish contrast.

It's been designed for indoor or outdoor use, but you really don't want to be opening this to the elements, especially with a price of £1,600. And if you like the looks, but want something bigger, there's also a dining table in the range, with both available to view at Liberty's.

Transport for London water flask

Water flask

With this spell of warmer weather, the question for many people is how to stay cool in style? Well, if you are a Londoner being forced to swelter on an overpacked tube (or if you just want to keep yourself refreshed) you may be interested in the range of water flasks available through Bliss Home featuring Transport for London designs.

There are several designs to pick from. This one features the South Kensington design which was produced by Arthur Watts in 1928 and, judging by the elephant on show, looks like a scene from the Natural History Museum. It's a hardy aluminium piece for sale at £6 and so it is also a pretty cost effective way of keeping cool.

Illuminate wallpaper featuring Artichoke lamp

Illuminate wallpaper

Poul Henningsen's Artichoke lamp has become an icon of twentieth-century design. If you can't quite afford the light, but would like to reference it in an alternative way to buying one of the many high street copies that are around, you may be interested in this Illuminate wallpaper. It's produced by Harlequin and features various stylised modern lights including the Artichoke.

The paper costs £33 a roll and, whilst the image shows the chartreuse yellow colourway, there are a further five different colours available which include some nice muted colours of grey and light blue.

Each Chair features George Nakashima's signature under the seat (so everyone will know it's the real deal) and is priced at just over £609.
