If you’ve never encountered Dodo Designs, you’ve really been missing out. Typical of the swinging sixties, it specialised in pop art style home accessories and decoration – everything from quirky takes on household products to Victoriana. And it’s becoming more collectable by the year.

There’s a particularly unusual example on eBay right now – this Dodo Designs Lion peg bag, featuring a brown and orange cartoon-like lion design with a hook for hanging and the makers logo on the bottom.

And for a disposable item, it’s in great condition for its age. £9.99 right now – a real bargain in our book.

Remember the Adidas/Y-3 FAC 51 Hacienda trainers we featured a month or so back? We wondered if anyone would be willing to pay the £345 price tag, even if there are only 250 pairs worldwide. Well they would.

All the trainers were quickly snapped up – and that’s led to brisk business on eBay. This pair has already beaten the £345 price point and have a ‘Buy It Now’ of a whopping £1,000. Yes, for a pair of trainers.

There are around four pairs up for grabs in total, so if you missed out at Selfridges and have the cash, you know where to go.

BMW is launching the new Mini Clubman in November, but if you can’t wait that long, how about an old one? And you can get such a thing on eBay if you bid for this 1972 Mini Clubman Estate.

Several new parts and a paint job has left a car like new in terms of condition – and check out that wooden dashboard and huge bootspace. On the negative side, the mileage is suspiciously missing from the description – you might want to check that out.

Currently available for bids over £1,000 – if you can get it for not much more, you could have a bargain on our hands.

eBay Watch: Guzzini Ball picnic set

The weather is improving, so maybe a few picnics later this summer isn’t out of the question. And this Guzzini Ball picnic set on eBay could be worth picking up.

It’s a great piece of 70 space age and comes complete with six large plates, six medium plates, six bowls, six cups, salt and pepper containers and a spare container. So if you have five friends, it’s ideal.

It’s currently at the opening price if £9.99 – I suspect it will not be at that price at the auction end.

eBay Watch: Space age Pac-A-Pic picnic box

For once, I’m not recommending you buy an item from eBay – I’m recommending you buy it elsewhere.

I’ve just spotted this space age Pac-A-Pic picnic box on eBay – and it’s an item we own ourselves, having bought one in the past few weeks. It’s a really smart stacking picnic set in a great retro orange colour, British made and dating back to the 1970s. Each layer contains plastic boxes, a plastic glass and cutlery – the idea being that you can stack extra layers depending on the size of your family, with the whole unit held together by expandable cords.

Now here’s the good part. We’ve seen "as new" stock of these in Sue Ryder charity shops for £4 and £5, depending on the size of box you choose. The price of the one on eBay is £29 – with none of that money going to charity. I think you know where to go.

eBay Watch: 1979 Mini Pick Up

BMW might well continue to bring out variations of the new Mini, but it’s fair to say they’re unlikely to produce a Mini Pick Up, like this 1979 model, currently up for grabs in eBay.

In truth, I don’t recall ever seeing one of these before, but I’ll take the seller’s word that this is a genuine vehicle. It’s undergone some restoration, but still needs a few finishing touches. However, it does have its plus points, including a mileage of just 49,000, bucket seats, new carpets and foot pedals and replacement bodywork in keeping with the original.

No-one has bid for the car as yet, so you never know – you might get it for the £250 starting price if you’re lucky.
