A nice piece of 50s-inspired design, those teal and metallic silver leaves sit on porcelain crockery, specifically four mugs, dinner plates, side plates and cereal bowls.
As you might expect, not expensive, selling at £30.
This Bird Lounge Chair was inspired by the 1952 design by Harry Bertoia, but as an “inspired by” product the price tag is a little lower than for an original, which might be a good thing at the moment.
Like the Charles Eames chairs from a year before, the Bird Lounge Chair uses wire to great effect to create a sculptural piece. This version is completed with a seat made from Italian leather in a choice of six colours.

Reminiscent of the sunburst style clocks by George Nelson in the 1950s, this Eliptical Clock has a similar shape.
It is made from plastic in shades of beige and dark grey, with its shape made up of pipes and spirals. Measuring 24cm in diameter, it costs £37.50, which seems rather good value to me.

The Italian company Cattelan Italia was only founded in 1979, so this Spiral Table obviously can’t have a heritage dating back to the 60s, but it is that period that its design suggests.
The top of the coffee table is made from a spiral of glass, which looks stunning. It is available with a choice of finishes to the glass; frosted, clear or painted black, red or brown. Personally, I think it needs the painted finish for the design to make the most impact.

Winning design awards for Peter Opsvik this year, the Varier Penguin Chair is a new design, but their strange structural shape, cool Scandinavian style and quirky name gives them much in common with classic chair designs from the past.
The chairs are intended to be used in kitchen or dining room, but where some chairs designed for dining can be too rigid to ever be fully comfortable, these have been designed with comfort in mind. The legs of the chair are designed to allow for a rolling motion and the position of the armrests make them ideal support for reclining.
Available in a choice of colours, including pure white and walnut, they usually cost £295 each from Espacio, but if you order before the end of the year, they are available at the reduced price of £250.75 each.

The teapot, which holds six cups, features a number 6 hand painted in a serif font on its front, whilst the mugs are numbered one to four in a similar style. They are all made from cream stoneware.
The teapot costs £15 and the mugs £18 for a set of four, from Colloco.
