Over The Stripes Sid Vicious t-shirt

Vicious

Oki-Ni has the exclusive on selling Over The Stripes t-shirts outside of Japan – and that collection includes this Sid Vicious Too Fast t-shirt.

Featuring that distinctive Sid Vicious profile, the shirt also features a few classic Vicious touches and a rear print with ‘1979’ and ‘Too fast to live too young to die’ in contrast print.

The limited edition t-shirts themselves are made from 100 per cent Japanese cotton and are sure to be collectors’ pieces in the future (if you look after them). And if you’re not a Sid Vicious fan, other t-shirts in the range feature Andy Warhol, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, John Lennon and Kurt Cobain. All retail for £59.

Softwear by Microsoft – 80s-style retro t-shirts

Softwear

Microsoft continues its quest to get down with the kids, moving into the clothing game with the Softwear by Microsoft t-shirts.

Set to hit ‘selected’ stores in December, the range is described by Microsoft as "a clothing line that taps the nostalgia of when PCs were just starting to change our lives…". Or in other words, the 1980s. The range includes the two shirts above (certainly the pick of the range) and (more worryingly) a shirt featuring a mug shot of Bill Gates, along with some ‘celebrity’ designs by rapper Common.

If you want to check out the whole range, follow the link below. So far, we’ve no details of price or the specific stockists.

Peter Jensen for Fred Perry Harrington jacket

Jensen1

When I see the word ‘collaboration’, I tend to fear the worst. And looking at these images, I’m not entirely convinced that the Peter Jensen for Fred Perry Harrington jacket works.

The Danish designer has taken the classic jacket and altered it slightly – slimmer fit, slightly longer arms and body, larger Fred Perry logo (not unlike the Action Man Fred Perry range) and larger pockets. It’s a re-work you’ll either love or really, really hate.

The jacket will be sold in a gingham check or in plain colours from the early part of next year – no price listed as yet. More images over the page.

Vintage Apple Mac cufflinks

Apple_cuffs

I can honestly say that these vintage Apple Mac cufflinks are the most geeky things we’ve ever featured on Retro To Go.

Yes, those are Apple Mac keys, but not just any Mac keys – they’re apparently taken from a rare circa 1980 Apple III integrated keyboard, a pricey of kit in its heyday, selling for up to $8,000 at the time. And now it’s just spares for fashion accessories.

They come gift boxed and are certain to light up the eyes of the geek in your life – price is $74.95.

Bumpy Pitch vintage US soccer t-shirts

Bumpy

We’ve seen the late 70s US soccer tops done to death, but Bumpy Pitch offers something a little different – genuinely vintage US soccer t-shirts.

You see, the beautiful game didn’t just appear in the US with Pele, George Best and Rodney Marsh, teams were around from early in the 20th century – and these t-shirts celebrate some of the lost teams of all eras.

The two above are Brooklyn Wanderers (dating back as far as the 1890s) and San Francisco Gales, a 60s team with Dutch heritage. Both sell online for $36 – check out the site for the full range.

John Lewis military style coat

John_lewis_coat

Military style has consistently come in and out of style among men’s coats, with the most memorable surely being Sgt. Pepper’s. While there’s been many a catwalk coat inspired by that look, it isn’t exactly wearable for most of us.

Avoid looking a bit Adam Ant with a more understated, yet still retro style look. This wool/cashmere blend coat from John Lewis has just the right amount of military embellishment. Using a square shouldered shape, high structured collar and epaulettes, this is a sleek and perennially stylish take.

It’s available online or in shops from John Lewis for £220.
