Jochen Rindt 1960s Shell LM jacket reissued

Shell

If you’re off for a drive in a classic open-top sports car, you need a classic jacket to keep you warm – like the Jochen Rindt Shell LM jacket.

It’s a replica of the jacket worn by German racing driver Jochen Rindt, specifically one he was photographed in after winning the 1965 Le Mans 24 hour race in a Ferrari 275 LM. It’s got the same look, along with vintage Shell logo, two external pockets and one internal pocket.

Made from 100 per cent cotton and with a quilted lining to keep you warm, it sells for £185.

Woodstock Wallet

WoodstockwalletWhen those 200,000 gathered at Woodstock nearly 40 years ago, what did they imagine their legacy would be? Peace and love probably. Presumably they wouldn’t have imagined the Woodstock Wallet.

Produced by Mustard Accessories who do a range of wallets many with a retro theme, the Woodstock wallet is a faded brown leather wallet with a design taken from a festival poster. Other wallets in the range (which may cross the taste border in the novelty category) include Kes, Travis Bickle and  John Lenon.

Available to buy online from Ark Clothing, priced £20.  The ideal gift for the hippie who has sold out!

Fred Perry nylon bomber jacket

Nylon

Well, the weather’s not all that cold, but the rain’s started up – time for something like this Fred Perry nylon bomber jacket.

Yes, this is a classic 60s-style FP bomber, but in nylon rather than cotton – making it shower-proof and very autumn-friendly. In terms of detailing, it has red, white and navy collar and cuffs, with two zip pockets, an elasticated hem and Fred Perry logo.

And it’s yours for £79.

Vans X Kiss Sk8-Hi shoe – 70s skate shoes for 70s rock fans

Kiss_vans
Rock legends Kiss released solo albums from each band member on September 18th 1978 – and in that same year, Vans launched the Sk8-Hi shoe. So it seems sensible to release a collaboration to celebrate the 30th anniversary – the Vans X Kiss Sk8-Hi shoe.

The release of the four solo albums was the first (and possibly only) time that a band has released solo albums on the same day – and the covers of those albums, with each member in full make-up, is the design on the new Sk8-Hi shoe.

Strictly for fans of both shoe and group I’d guess, you can pick up a pair in the coming weeks for an as-yet undisclosed price.

V&A’s record player cufflinks

Record_cufflinks

We’re not usually the novelty cufflink type – but we’ve been won over by these record player cufflinks.

Available to pre-order at the V&A shop, the cufflinks are seriously low-end fun – no precious metals here. But they do have a great look and an attention to detail, with the dark base and contrasting metal platter and arm all combining to produce something that has ‘Christmas gift’ written all over it if there’s a vinyl lover (and shirt wearer) in the house.

Yours for £20.
