Original Ikon Bruce Foxton shoe range – ex-Jam man gets his own footwear

Ikon_foxton

Bruce Foxton has follow ex-Jam member Paul Weller into the world of fashion, working with Original Ikon to produce the Bruce Foxton shoe.

Original Ikon will be selling the special edition Bruce Foxton styled shoe this spring to coincide with the partial Jam reformation (with Rick Buckler as From The Jam). The shoe is a four eyelet Gibson with light punch detail across the vamp and toe. The upper is pure white, full grain leather, with black and white checkerboard calf linings, finished off with contrast black stitch detail.

Bruce’s signature is laser etched onto the white sole and each pair will be limited and numbered, sold in a cloth shoe bag and in a ‘luxury shoebox’. You’ll also get a photo of Bruce on the current tour thrown in. Price? No details as yet.

Subbuteo Cufflinks – replicas of 1970s players

Subbuteo_cufflinks
I’m loathe to promote novelty cufflinks, but I can’t help but love these Subbuteo Cufflinks.

Made from nickel, the cufflinks are officially licensed and exact replicas of the 1970s-style players (which are now worth quite a bit of cash – as I found out when I recently sold my collection). And if that’s not enough, they even come in a smart presentation box embossed with the Subbuteo logo, along with an instruction leaflet, just in case you’ve never encountered a cufflink before.

Available now, they retail for £19.95 per pair.

Love Hearts jewellery – based on vintage sweets

Lovehearts
Remember Love Hearts? It was/is a classic kids sweet that offered up a lovey dovey message that was even more sickly sweet than the sweet itself. You can still get them – and you can also get Love Hearts jewellery based on the sweet’s design.

Pictured to your right is just one example, a classic silver pendant with 18-inch chain and the message ‘I Love You’. Alternatively, you can get a silver and enamel pendant, smaller-sized pendants, cufflinks or a simple ‘token’.

Prices start at £24.99 and if you’re quick, you can order one for Valentine’s Day – cut off point for ordering is 12 noon on Wednesday 13th February.

Mitre Rush – retro-styled running shoes

Mitre

Not heard the name Mitre for a long time – perhaps because most of its business comes from the mundane world of balls and accessories these days. But it has sneaked out a retro footwear range of late – the Mitre Rush.

We’re back in the 1980s here, that nylon top, suede detailing and cushioned rubber sole – well, it is a running shoe of sorts. There’s an endless number of colour combinations to choose from too, including the two pictured here.

Priced are very 1980s too – a pair will cost you just under £30.
