Cream Felt Beret by Red Herring

Herring beret

While we're stuck in that part of the year where the weather can't make its mind up, it's worth easing the coming Winter blues with some stylish accessories. The rainier months are time for the hats to come out of the wardrobe, and luckily hats are a quick and easy way to retro chic.

This Cream Felt Beret by Red Herring has a cute, mid-sixties look that's got a look of expensive sophistication about it too. The cream shade is perfectly offset by a large black bow, the result being a luxurious looking accessory that retains a girlish 60s style.

Ferm Living apple and pine thermo mug

Ferm Thermal mug apple

Danish company Ferm Living continually pop on this site with their colourful designs that often have a retro feel. The pattern on this thermo mug fits into that category and may also look slightly familiar. This is because they've recently taken some of Trine Anderson's most popular designs, including this attractive apple and pine number, and reproduced them on mugs. The mugs are made from 100% porcelain so you can directly hold onto them as you sup your varm kakao or similar.

Completists will be pleased to hear the design is also available on cushions, table mats and tea towels. The mug costs £19.

Thomas Paul mid-century inspired Dervish cushion

Dervish_dove

Thomas Paul's latest collection includes this Dervish cushion. Its pattern is influenced by mid-century designs but could fit into many different eras. The dervish of the title suggests the circles could be the skirts of a whirling dervish but they could equally pass as being botanically inspired. The cushions is produced in a soft and subtle range of colours: the cushion above is shown in in 'dove' and it's also available in duck egg, ebony, kiwi and scarlett.

The cushion cover is made from 100% linen with a feather insert and costs £70.

Skittle2

Not sure the pictures (in black) do them justice, but we do love these Habitat Skittle tables, new in for this season.

Black is just one colour option, others include pink and cream, with a skittle-like shape that comes from being hand-moulded in fibreglass, then lacquered.

Check out over the page for the low table, with prices starting at £79.
