It could be straight off the set of Space 1999, but the Zanotta Dora armchair is actually a 2005 design, the work of Ludovica and Roberto Palomba.
Designed for use around a table or as a standalone seat in its own right, the Dora consists of a polyethylene frame, with optional floral decorations or if you prefer, with a glossy lacquered finish. And as it’s essentially plastic, you can use as the coolest outdoor chair on the block.

You may recall Biba founder Barbara Hulanicki doing a wallpaper range for Habitat back in 2006. Well, she’s at it again, this time producing a wallpaper range for Graham & Brown.
And it’s very much inspired by the designs from the Biba store at its 70s height, those interlocking images (like the Viva above) available in light shades or a much more imposing black and silver. if that’s a bit much, a Diva range tones things down in both colouring and pattern.

External/outdoor lights tend to be pretty grim affairs – check your local B&Q if you want evidence. That’s certainly not the case with the Luceplan Sky light.
Designed by Alfredo Häberli and available in three colours (white, chestnut or plain aluminium), it offers 70s space age style for our outdoor space. The Sultan Dog Stool is a new product from French designers Ibride, but it wouldn’t look out of place amongst the designs by the Surrealists.
Made from high pressure laminate, the stool has legs that are shaped unmistakeably like a canine’s lower half. It is available in a choice of black or red and can also be used as a side table.

And now for something entirely practical…This Vintage Fabric Kneeler isn’t an iconic design, but for any keen gardeners whose knees aren’t as young as they once were, it could be a godsend.
Its deep foam cushion is covered with a floral patterned vintage cotton barkcloth from the 1960s. It has a handle for easy storage and is comfortable enough to double as a regular cushion.

A classic designer look for a fraction of the price – that’s what you get with the Dwell Ripple rocking chair.
Based almost entirely on the classic Verner Panton Relaxer (which was introduced back in 1974), the Dwell version loses the wooden arms and opts for a faux leather finish all over in black or white, with metal rockers on the rear.
A reissued Panton Relaxer will cost you the best part of £900 – but the Dwell Ripple is on the market for just £99.
