Shinzi Katoh retro lunchboxes

Shinzi_lunch

We will be drawing out the winners of our Shinzi Katoh tote bag competition later this week, but in the meantime, enjoy some new designs from the company – the Shinzi Katoh lunchboxes.

Just six of the designs shown here (out of the 13 currently available), all featuring those distinctive retro illustrations, along with a doubler catch on the side for security and pull-out containers. There’s also a choice of single or double boxes – should you be preparing food for two (or feeling particularly hungry one day).

Prices start at a very reasonable £9,95 and stock is likely to be limited.

TwentyTwentyOne one-day warehouse sale – designer classics at knock-down prices

20_sale
I’m not always convinced by warehouse sales – we went to a Heals event last week, which was pitiful. But the TwentyTwentyOne warehouse sale looks to be something else.

For one day only, you can get discounts of up to 80 per cent on design classic and stylish contemporary pieces – mainly showroom samples and ex-display furniture, lighting and accessories. Want specifics? Well, according to the company, a Hans WEegner CH37 armchair will be knocked down from £575 to £140, a set of six Aalto 611 dining chairs will tumble from £2,118 to £550 and a set of six Arne Jacobsen 3107 chairs will be reduced from £720 to £240. And that’s just three of the price cuts on offer.

Expect to queue for the best stuff from 10am (running to 4:30pm) on Saturday 19th July 2008, with the sale taking place at 18c River Street, London, EC1R 1XN.

Veja Volley retro trainers

Veja_volley

We featured the Veja Taua pumps some weeks back, but the company also has another range of retro footwear on the market – the Veja Volley trainers.

More of a sports shoe than a pump, they are based on a Brazilian trainer from the 1970s and use an organic cotton canvas upper and a sole made of wild rubber from the Amazon – because they’re also eco-friendly trainers.

Available in all white or the green and white pictured above, they retail for a very reasonable £60.

Colloco offers reproduction classic Olympics sports bags

Olympic_bags

There’s an Olympics in China this year, which is always a good time to bring out some Olympics-based merchandise. But I’m not complaining if it’s as eye-catching as these classic Olympics sports bags.

All are reproductions featuring the logos of the respective games –  Tokyo 1964, Mexico 1968, Munich 1972, Moscow 1980 and USA 1984 will be available to buy. The bags are made from PVC leather and are fully lined, also featuring an adjustable strap and rubber zip pull.

Sized at 33cm by 24cm by 9cm, they will retail from early July for £24.95 each (although you can pre-order now).

Fifties style cropped cardigans from Principles

50s_cardis

The cardigan is something of a wardrobe staple for most girls, but never were they so stylish as the fifties. Whether you’re going for a preppy fifties style or a more gritty rockabilly look, a cropped cardi is a must have.

These two styles are from Principles, and are just the right cut and style without being overdone. Simple and stylish, they’re a great summer item for the evenings. They’re both available from Debenhams and cost £39 each.
