Verner Panton space age Amoebe chair

Amoebe_chair

The epitome of space age design – the Verner Panton Amoebe chair.

Originally produced for Verner Panton’s Visiona installation in 1970, this official reissue offers even more comfort with a flexible backrest – although even without it, you’d probably sink into this futuristic foam seat for hours.

Available in eight colours of Tonus 3 fabric (90% virgin wool, 10% helanca), you can order one online for £728.

Atari 2600 controller candle holder

Atari_candle
Candles are very seasonal right now – although this Atari 2600 controller candle holder is unlikely to appear on your mum’s mantelpiece.

Shaped like the base iconic games controller from Atari’s must-have console of the early 80s, it holds your candle – which uncannily looks like the stick.

I’m not sure what this is made of – but with a price of £50, I sense ceramic rather than plastic.

Revo Blik – DAB and internet radio alarm clock – with 1980s looks

Revo_blik

At first glance, the Revo Blik looks just like the radio alarm clock you probably had by the bed in the 1980s. Inded you might still have something similar. But beneath those throwback looks is a cutting edge piece of bedside technology.

The Revo Blik offers it all – DAB radio, internet radio (around 5,000 stations), even good old FM radio. And you can wake up to any of them. Even better, you can stream your digital files (like your MP3s) from your PC or Mac to the Blik. And you can plug in your iPod and use it as a speaker and control the whole thing via a remote control.

Which makes the Blik a rather smart little item. You can pick one up from Colloco in black or white, priced at £99.95.

Bollard Light – bring the road into your home

Bollard_light
The perfect gift for the driving obsessive in your life – the Bollard Light.

Just think – you can position the Bollard Lights around the home, indicating which way visitors should walk through each room. Or you can simply use it as novelty lighting.

Sadly, it’s not quite full size at just 41cm, but should still prove a talking point. Complete with cable and energy-saving bulb, it retails for £50.
