Puma_loakes
What do you get if you ask a sportswear firm to design footwear alongside a traditional shoe company? The Puma Loakes Clyde.

Part of the bespoke collection available from Oki-Ni, the shoe is based on the classic Clyde trainer from 1972, but re-interpreted by longstanding British footwear firm Loake. Premium grade calf leather is used for the upper, with each piece cut by hand. There’s also a brogue-style toe, Clyde sole and a hand-polished finish.

And there’s just 100 pairs around. If you want one, they retail for £180

Vintage scooter teapot

Scooter_teapot
Not the first time we have featured a novelty teapot, but the first time we have featured the vintage scooter teapot.

Designed by Gary Seymour, the scooter has a spout in the front headlight, the seat is the lid and the backrest the handle, with the whole thing sized at 21 x 26cm.

And it’s a limited edition of just 500 – which might explain the rather hefty price tag of $136 (around £70).

Probably not ideal for your living room or bedroom, but if you want to add a retro twist to a kid’s room, this Rocky ceiling light should do the trick.

Shaped like the classic comic book rocket, Rocky offers a glow from both the window and rear of the rocket from a 60w bulb. But even when it isn’t dark, this cool design should brighten up a room.

Available online, you can pick one up for £44.95.

O-Space Light

Foscarini_ospace1 As its name suggests, the O-Space Light takes its inspiration from the space-age design beloved of the 1960s.

It is available in the traditional pure white or in the more unusual orange pictured here. Once suspended, it does look just like a spaceship hanging in the air. It also plays cleverly with the light so that it changes form depending on the angle it is viewed from.

It is available to buy from Utility Design priced £475.
