Wallis Ivory Lace tunic Dress

Ivorylacedress
We have featured the Wallis limited edition range before, but they have just launched a new W. A Limited Edition range which features a whole range of 60s style dresses. This Ivory Lace Tunic dress is lovely, and deserves special mention.

The range is only available online and in a selected 12 stores, and features a range of dresses, tops, tunics, coats and jackets. As it is limited you might need to be quick if you see anything you like.

I may well be ordering this dress, as I really like the ivory colour and lace detailing. I have had some vintage dresses with a similiar lace outer layer, but it is great to see it reproduced in a high street range.

The dress costs £65 and is currently available to order on the website.

Faithsolo Antibes shoes

Anitbes
If you can’t afford a pair of classic Chanel pumps, how about going for these Antibes shoes from the Faithsolo range, designed by Olivia Morris.

Faith has brought out new designs from its catwalk range, and these black and white shoes by British designer Olivia Morris would go really well with the Ivory Lace dress we featured the other day.

Olivia has designed shoes for the likes of Madonna, Keira Knightly and Lindsay Lohan, but these retro styled canvas and leather ballet toed shoes caught my eye. I even love the little silver heart fastener. You can buy a pair for £50, which doesn’t seem bad value for a designer look.

Barbie Loves Mac make-up

Barbie_stuff

We featured air hostess Sindy a few weeks ago, and now it is the turn of her American counterpart Barbie, who has teamed up with Mac cosmetics to develop her own make-up range Barbie Loves Mac.

A capsule collection of bright glosses, powders all embossed with Barbie’s own stylised head on the packaging. If you want to look like a living doll it could be just the range for you.

You can even get tips on the website on how you can re-create the real doll look. A Barbie pink lipstick will set you back around £11, and £8 for a nail varnish. If you are a Barbie fan it is worth it for the packaging.

Dune Gingham silk clutch bag

Ginghambag
We’ve featured some 70s inspired bags recently, but now for one with more of a lady-like feel. This cute Gingham silk clutch bag from Dune would go with any of the 50s-inspired tulip dresses in the shops at the moment.

It comes in either the blue and white featured, or equally fetching black and white. It has a fabric body with metallic frame and clasp. It’s £55 which seems quite expensive, but that’s probably because it is silk.

The gingham pattern is usually more familiar on shirts or items of clothing, but on a bag it gives the traditional clutch style a new retro twist.

Biba vintage style cocktail ring

Bibaring
We haven’t featured any jewellery for a while, but I love this vintage style cocktail ring from the new Biba range. It has great 70s style and is good statement piece.

It might look like something Abigail would have worn at her party, but the glossy oval gem and gold casing also has a timeless feel and would go brillliantly with some of the 70s style dresses available at the moment.

It comes in three different colours of stone, brown, green, and the purple one featured. So you just need to decide which you like best. They are available from Matches for £90.

eBay Watch: Philips Patrice Dupont space age record player

Dupont
If you want to know what’s what in the world of 60s and 70s space age design, you need a copy of the L’Utopie Du Tout Plastique catalogue (we’ll have to feature that one day). If you have a copy, turn to page 123 and check out this Philips space age record player, designed by Patrice Dupont in 1969.

There’s one available on eBay right now, currently at a criminally cheap price. It’s a smart piece of design, incredibly eye-catching and perfect for 60s-styled home. The round record player is the size of an LP, can also play 45s and even has a battery compartment the size of a 45. There’s also a retractable handle and volume control wheel.

Seems to be on good condition and currently selling for a very cheap £31. If you’re after a stylish record player, seriously consider this one.
